[ How To Use ]
Attach the MirrorCase to your device and start the MirrorCase or MirrorCase + App.
When the App is started for the first time, you will be asked “Would you like to turn on Location Services?” When Location Services are turned "on" GPS Location information will be embedded into all photos captured with this App. You can change this setting at anytime under Settingsthen Location Services on your device.

MirrorCase + Users:
Once the MirrorCase + App is initiated, you will see a User Interface located at the bottom of the screen showing from left to right the Settingsbutton, Media Viewer button, Capture button and the Image/Video Selector. * The Media Viewer is a custom embedded viewer that allows you to access your saved images and videos within the MirrorCase + App itself. The Media Viewer is also used to Share Images and Video.
[ For Taking Still Images ]
To capture still images, slide the Image/Video Selector switch to the Image Capture mode. Then simply press the Capture button in the center of the User Interface bar. (The Image/Video Selector defaults to the Image Capture mode when starting the App for the first time.) You can zoom in and out by pinching the screen with two fingers. This zoom feature is only available in the Image Capture mode.
[ For Taking Videos ]
Using the Image/Video Selector select Video Capture mode and press the capture button to initiate video recording mode. The Capture button will blink to indicate recording has begun. To stop recording press the blinking Capture button. You will be prompted whether you would like to Save to Camera Roll, Save and Start a New Recording or Delete Recording. If you choose Save to Camera Roll a progress bar will pop up on the bottom of the screen showing you the saving progress. If you choose Save and Start a New Recording the video that was just recorded will be saved as one file, and a new recording file will be started. If you choose Delete Recording a pop-up will appear asking "Are you sure you want to delete the recordings?" Simply select Yes to delete the file permanently or select No and you will be prompted for your choice of what you want to do with the video again.

This feature is only available for the MirrorCase + App. While in the Media Viewer you can share your photos and videos by clicking on theShare button to view various sharing options. To access Facebook through the share feature you will need to enter your Log In information in the devices Main Settings tab, whether or not you are currently logged into the Facebook App.
[ Focus and Exposure ]
When the MirrorCase App is first opened the Focus and Exposure settings are set in the automatic mode. This means the camera will automatically focus and adjust the exposure to any subject in the center of the screen.
Tap with one finger anywhere on the screen to manually set the focus and exposure to that area. Tapping the screen with two fingers will set the Focus and Exposure in the automatic mode once again.
[ Privacy Screen ]
In either the Image or Video capture mode, aPrivacy Screen feature allows you to cover the screen with an image of your choice while you are capturing video or images. The User Interface will still be displayed when the Privacy Screen is used. You will need to select your default Privacy Screen under the MirrorCaseApp’s Settings tab. You can select any still image that is in your current camera roll or use the black image provided with the App.
Once your Privacy Screen image has been set you will be able to cover and uncover your screen with this image by swiping your finger across your screen in either direction.
[ iPhone 4 Limitations ]
Due to the limited processing power on the iPhone 4, digital zoom cannot be applied to video recordings. As a result vignetting will occur on the iPhone 4 when a video is saved. However, when using with the 4S there are no issues and the recording comes out perfectly! As for taking still photos, there is no vignetting with either model.
We recommend Video Swivel, a free app that can crop and or rotate the videos taken using the iPhone 4.
Again due to the limited processing power on the iPhone 4 and due to Apple's video encoding method you would need to play back your videos using the iPhone's standard Photos App or withQuickTime. If you play the videos through any other player their orientation would be reversed and rotated 90 degrees. You can edit these video files (.mov) and save them in the proper orientation using the programs iMovie for Apple users or Windows Movie Maker for PC users. Both of these programs are free. |
